Graduation Day

Today was pre-school graduation for Lance and his three friends; Sydnie, Ben and Christian The Tennessee Ave Pre-school graduating class of 2008 had a great time playing letter charades, making picture frames, and snacking on tortilla diploma's and chocolate cupcakes. They completed their scrapbooks by documenting and demonstrating things they have learned over the school year. Things like their letters, counting, and drawing shapes. For a bunch of three and four year olds they did very well. They stood somewhat still while mom's tried to snap pictures of them in their cute poster board graduation caps and holding their diploma's. Discussing the year with the other mom's we decided it what a great success, and that we all had fun doing it together. We all enjoyed having a break for three weeks and only having to be in charge once a month. It is sad to see the school year come to an end. We were trying to explain to Lance what graduation was and he informed us that he didn't want school to end, he still wanted to learn things. We informed him that he will still learn plenty of things over the summer. Our goal is to work on reading, writing, and adding over the summer. Why? Cause I think it will be really nice to finally have him read all the bedtime stories.
