Tuesday my wonderful neighbor took my kids for a few hours and let them play in the water at her house. I think it was because she felt sorry for them and their little white "swimming pools", or probably because she is just that nice. Any way they played for two hours and ate Popsicles, and had a great time. And then on top of that she even captured it all on camera and brought me the pictures so that I could share them with all of you. Yes, in case you are wondering, it is nice to have neighbors that are wonderful. We are lucky enough to be surrounded by them on all sides. Thanks Alicia. The cute kids (besides mine) are Kaden and Sydnie. They are just like family. In fact last night after I had put the kids to sleep I heard a little knock at the door. I opened it up to find Kaden there. He came in and went right for the pantry, pointed and said "cookie". I was so happy. I have always wanted to be the house that everyone wanted to be at, even if it is just for the cookies. Kaden also likes to stand on the chair and look at Zack's cars. He know not to touch them. When he is done looking he walks over to the bucket full of Lance's cars and sits down and plays. They are just the cutest kids.

Hats?
The other day after a bathing the kids, I was combing Claire's hair and noticed that the spot where I put her pony tail in everyday was thinning, (her hair is so fine that the ponytail holders cause breakage and they pull her hair out) it has taken us so long to get what hair she does have that I hate to lose even one strand of it. So I decided that we would have to come up with something else to do with her hair. I am still searching, but in the mean time she has taken to wearing one of Lance's hats. I think it is darling, I just wish that it wasn't brown. Lance is also in to this hat thing. He has to have his hat on at all waking hour of the day. I guess it could be worse, they could be wearing some silly Halloween costume or something crazy like that. Come to think of it Lance did ask for a cape the other day...ummmm?
Yes that is a bruise on her face. She must be going through a growth spurt because she is always tripping. They went to the race track last Saturday with their dad and she came home covered in bruised and scrapes. Zack said she just kept falling. We counted and on just one leg she has over 17 owies. I would post a picture but I am afraid someone would turn me in for child abuse.

Swimming Pool?
So this is the saddest excuse for a swimming pool I have ever seen, but you should have heard the squeals of delight from Lance and Claire and they got to play in what they "called their own swimming pools" Claire kept saying "Mommy, is this my swimming pool?" "Oh thank you thank you Mommy! I love it!" Notice the swimming suit she is wearing? We call it fat girl in a little suit. Not that she is fat it is just that the suit is a little small. Guess it is time to throw in the towel and go and get the girl a new swimming suit. Looking forward to the lazy days of summer. Who ever coined that term must not have had kids. Between the park, lunch, naps, a little educational time, and playing in the water, we barely had time to mow the lawn before everyone collapsed into bed.
Can you do this?
Here is an update on Reese. She is still as cute as ever. I look at her sometimes and as her face lights up I am really sad that most of you will miss seeing her in this stage of her life. She just gives you the silliest faces sometimes and at other times she flashes you the most beautiful smile you have ever seen. She is just a delight to have around. I feel some times that she is not just my baby but every one's. Lance said it best the other day while we were all laying in bed first thing in the morning and Claire kept saying, "Mom is this my baby Reese?" We go through this routine every morning and I have to assure her a million times that "yes" this is her baby Reese. Well this morning a little argument started between her and Lance on who's baby Reese it was when Lance finally said, "She is every one's baby Reese, we just love her the most." And We do.
She is a master of sitting, and she is getting really good at picking up just one cheerio and putting it in her mouth. She loves to play with her bucket of shapes. She likes taking them out one by one and eating them till they fall away and then she reaches into the bucket for another. But what she still loves to do most is eat her feet. When she was younger and we would lie her on her back so she could learn to roll over she would just lie there and suck on her feet. Well now that she is sitting (and still not rolling over) she still likes to suck on her feet. She is really good at doubling her self over and getting them in her mouth. She can stay this way for a long while too. You would think that I never feed the child the way she sucks on those toes and well... just about everything else she touches.
