Fakey Fakey eggs and bakey (April Fools 2010)

So this is what we had for breakfast this morning!! Yummy April fool pranks!
The funniest part was watching Reese pick up her orange juice (orange jello) and try and drink it. When nothing came out she set it down and tried again. A few seconds later she finally clued in and giggled.
Fish Sticks and Chicken nuggets for a snack before soccer (really marshmallows and wafer covered in peanut butter and rolled in crushed frosted flakes)
Cupcakes for dinner? Well meatloaf with a swirl of mashed potatoes and real peas.
Had to share Claire creativity.

Kudos to Christian (Lance's Friend) he brought down a Oreo with the filling removed and replaced with sour cream. Sadly Lance didn't even notice. He just thought that it was really nice of Christian to bring him a treat. Happy April Fools Day. I hope you all had as much fun as we did. Thanks to my nieces Taylor and Brittin for their help. And thanks for going with me to the movie "Last Song". I really can not wait until my girls are old enough to take to the late show and have a girls night out. It was a perfect ending to a really great day.

The Skeleton Hunt

What is a Skeleton Hunt you ask? Well if you know please contact me, because even after being on one I am not quite sure what it is. For weeks now Lance and Claire have been planning this "Skeleton Hunt". Every day they would ask me when I would take them. Finally we agreed upon a date and with that, Claire started asking if every day was Tuesday. Finally the day came, dinner was over, and off we went to hunt Skeletons. Zack thought that the appropriate place to hunt skeleton would be up Slate Canyon. I must say that he nailed it. It was a pretty creepy place. The sky was overcast which only help set the ambiance of what was going to be a very successful hunt!!!

Well we never did catch any skeletons, even though we look in every single hole, climbed over several rocks, and even scaled a wall. As with every great hunter, the thrill is not in the actual kill, but in the hunt itself. So according to the kids we will try again next Tuesday.

Lance Started Soccer

Joey and Reese walking off to play on the big hill.
Got a wedgie
Warming up before the game
The kids all seemed a little lost at first
What a brave women to take on coaching kindergarten kids in any sport
I have officially join the "Soccer Mom" club. Though I am not very good at it, because I don't wear cardigans over my shoulders, I wear them on my body because it is spring and it snowed at the end of his first game. Lance is having the time of his life. He loves chasing after the ball and fighting with the other seven players on the field for a chance to kick the ball. He did score a goal at his second game, but it didn't matter, the thrill for him is just in the playing.

Life from a different perspective.

Reese loves to be upside down on the couch. In fact she spends a lot of time just like this while she watches T.V. But this day I caught all three of them just hanging upside down. I suppose just to see how the world looks from another angle.

Claire's Self Portrait.

Claire managed to get a hold of the camera and have Lance take this picture of her. She is such a ham when it comes to the camera. You can say to her, "Give me a pose." and this is the look that she gives you almost every time.

Sisters Retreat 2010 March 3rd-7th

Trying to take a picture of all of us by ourself turned out harder that it should have been
Posing by the snowman that some family kindly made just for us.
Three of the most beautiful ladies in the world.
The view outside of our hotel room.
Taking a break from shopping
Anjeanette looks right at home.
Pedicure night!

In fear of breaking out too much, we decided to go to the same place as last year for our Sister's Getaway. Red River New Mexico. It is not much of a town but that is what we wanted. Someplace where we were forced to slow down. It was a relaxing trip. Lots of talking, a little shopping, and a whole lot of sitting. (My bum has still not recovered) I think that we accomplished what we set out to do and that was strengthen our friendships between my sisters and my loving mother. It is a week that I would not trade for anything and a week I look forward to every six months. Something I highly recommend all sisters and mothers do.
