Saying goodbye to Joyce (June 12th 2010)

Many of you already know but for the sake of history, lets talk about it. Our wonderful and marvelous neighbor picked up and moved to China the first part of June. I keep hoping that they would change their mind and stay, but at last it became altogether to real when I had to say goodbye to them at the airport. We get to reconnect with her on the internet and she has called, but it is just not the same when we walk over to feed the dog and she is not home. We really miss her and the boys, but realize that after 6 or more years of being so far from her husband that it is time for the Youse's to be together as a family.

Summer Fun June 16th 2010

So on the only warm day in June we decided to turn on the sprinklers and let the kids have a go at it. Of course you have to have ice cream and how they balloons got involved is still a mystery, but the kids enjoyed themselves and had a taste of summer.

Pillow Case Dresses June 2010

So I made these really cute dresses out of you guessed it Pillow cases. I found the pillow cases at TJ-Max for $5.00 and then got some accent fabric for around six dollars and wallah. They really are so very cute. Here is a tutorial for the basic pillow case dress if you are interested in trying your hand at it (freshlypickled.blogspot.com). They were so very easy.
