Modern Technology.

Modern Technology can be an amazing thing. Even our children have clued into the benefits of these conveniences. Tonight while I was blow drying Claire's hair Lance came in and asked her a question. She replied "Go away and I will text message you my answer." He came in promptly and told her he didn't get her message. "I sent it to the TV in your room." Lance "Send it to my Bakugan." Claire: "Mom how do I resend Lance a text message?" Mom points to a random spot on her blocks and she says: "Not there Mom, that is the camera screen." me pointing to another random spot. "Mooom, not there thats the phone pad." Mom shrugging her shoulders finally realizes that technology has once again gotten away from me.

What Happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas

We had the first annual Bailey Sister retreat. We all met in Los Vegas and spent three nights at the Harrah's hotel. Thanks to Laura and Anna we were able to get all three night (two rooms) for only $50.00 per person. We got a free dinner one night (buffet yummy) and then ate at a real fancy restaurant the next night. We went shopping on Saturday, and after church on Sunday we spent the day at the Winn hotel spa. The spa was so worth the money. We just sat around in the hot tub, the steam room, the relaxing lounge and drank water and ate fruit. It was clothing optional, but the most I could muster up was to drop my robe to weigh myself, and to run from the shower to the hallway to grab a razor. That wasn't much, but for me that was enough. It was lovely to get away from the kids and have time to get to know each other with out having to worry about meeting the needs of those that we love. Heck we didn't even have to make our own beds (I did any way and everyone elses too, so parts of being a mother can never be left behind). It was a great trip. Can not wait till next year.

Teokwondo Class

Lance got Teokwondo lessons for Christmas from Zack and I. Who would have thought that something so simple would bring so much joy to a kids life. He loves it and is learning so much. They focus on listening to the teacher and controlling their bodies. He catches on very quickly and is quite a natural.
Reese also loves it. She goes around copying all of Lances "new moves" it is really cute.

I want to Share a Laugh with you!!!

My sister in law Holly shared this with me. I thought it was hilarious. And so true.

Christmas 2009

Christmas morning at Grandpa and Grandma Gifford's house just waiting to get the go ahead to come down and see what Santa brought.
It didn't really matter what else Santa a brought, everything came to a stand still when the kids opened their presents from Uncle Brent and Aunt Debbie. They loved these glow pads, they are still playing with them.
Of course Santa brought Zack, oops I mean Lance a race track. I mean should not every grown man of 36, oops again, every 5 year old boy get a track for Christmas. Santa also brougth Zack (I mean Lance) a air hog. The girls got baby dolls and that is about it. It was a simple and quite Christmas this year. I thinks we will definatly try the less is more approach again.
Zack spent most night while we were in Idaho rocking Reese to sleep. This was a great moment. Both Reese and Dad wrapped up in a good book.
