Happy Valentines Day

We have some great friends "The Arshads" who every year throw this wonderful Valentines Day Party. They always serve a great dinner, and afterwards we convene to their basement for some party games. This year they had asked for everyone to give them the name of "Their" song. Then the played them and we had to guess which song belonged to which couple. It was interesting to see what era each couples song came from. For the final game they had each of us pick four random words from a basket and create a poem. It was hilarious to see the love sonnets that came from these words. Actually Zack's was great. So in the spirit of Valentines Day I share with you his poem. (the highlighted words are the ones that he had to use.)

My Wife...
Chases me with her pots and pans when she is angry.
Asks me to fix her cuts and scrapes with super glue. (that is so true)
But when the kids are in bed and the candles are lit, All is
forgotten and we get down to smackin' lips.

Cute uh. I love my husband. He may not be the most romantic man in the world be he is realistic, honest, good, and most of all MINE!!!

What has Reese been up too?

We are trying to move Reese's nap to later in the day so that it doesn't interfere with 11:00 church. So I am trying to put her down for a nap a little later every day. Well, as you can see we haven't quite worked our way to after lunch. I was in the shower so who knows how long she was this way? Poor child. What kind of mother am I?
Two of Reese's favorite things to do is swipe things from either drawers, laundry baskets,toys others are playing with etc... The other thing that she loves to do is put things on her head. This morning while I was sorting laundry I felt her come up behind me take something and run. When she came back into the room this is what I found. Yes they are dirty.
Reese fell yesterday and hit her ear on the side table. I thought she was being dramatic because the bruise didn't show up until about 30 min after it happened. Now I know why she cried for so long. This picture doesn't do it justice. I probably should be turned in for child abuse.

Washing Walls

When I was little we had to wash walls for one of two reasons;
1. you got in trouble or 2. you told mom you were bored.
Well I guess washing walls has gotten a new meaning in our home. Today I came into the kitchen and this is what I saw. When I approached her to ask what she was doing she said "I am washing walls mom to make you happy" So you tell me, when to kids grow out of this stage.

The other day Zack was awaken by banging coming from her room. It was about 6:00 am and he was startled and a bit worried about what the noise might be. He got up to go and see, and he found Claire in her room organizing her toy box. To bad she shares the same room with Reese. Needless to say the day started off real early. Tonight when I went to check on the girls what did I find. Claire again organizing and cleaning her room. Okay maybe she is really a bit like her mother.

Sunday Dinner

Jake and Ember brought the kids over and we enjoyed a nice afternoon and Sunday dinner of meatball sandwiches and peach cobbler.
