A visit to Wheeler's Farm with Granny and Grandpa Bailey

Granny and Grandpa Bailey came at the beginning of this month for a whole week. The kids were in heaven and frankly so was I. It was a wonderful way to start off the summer. While they were here we did many fun things. But the two that stick out the most are the trip to the Farmers Market and our day at Wheeler's Farm in SLC. I apologize now for all the pictures but it was such a lovely day in a wonderful place that reminded me so much of my childhood. So please be kind and humor a old country girl.
When we got there the girls took off after all the duck wondering around the farm. Reese really got a kick out of them. She likes scaring them.

The cows were so fascinating to the kids. You would have thought that they had never seen one before.

It amazed them to learn that cows eat grass. And milk comes out of the utter between the cows legs.

Lance was so excited because the horse ate grass out of his hand.

Reese is not petting the goat. She was trying really hard to pull on its tail. The goat however was smarter than she.

Look at the smiles on those faces.
Again they were amazed to see that chickens do lay eggs. They saw eggs in the chickens nest.

Great shot of granny and grandpa.

Finally something with wheels. Right up Lance's alley.
Reese thought the Tractor was pretty cool too!
Once Claire got the nerve to climb up, she too thought the tractors were cool.

Little pigs

Duck watching.
This duck must have been only a few days old. It was so small.
Reese had enough, so home we went. (Actually this was the response we got when we told her it was time to go home. That girl has bottomless energy) It was a wonderful afternoon. Best of all it was free.
